Sisters in Fitness Marathon Training Program is a gentle progressive program involving four days of running a week with encouraging cross training . We follow the training programs Novice , Intermediate and Intermediate II from renowned international trainer Hal Higdon.
Sisters in Fitness has 100 + marathoners complete their marathon program and cross finish-lines healthy and happy! We pride ourselves on providing much more than a training plan but a true marathon “experience” from the beginning to the end , we are a very supportive, social group.
When you complete our marathon training you will have developed relationships for a lifetime….the long runs are long and everyone deserves a “running buddy” by their side.
We also provide throughout your training Stretching & Yoga for Runners and a huge preparation on knowledge of different stages of training. Our runners are always prepared extensively! We have a great emphasis on keeping our runners injury free.
We run as a group Tuesday- Wednesday 6:30 pm & Saturday 8:30 and you do 1 independent run weekly. Our training routes are forever changing, this adds to your marathon experience.
We also do destination marathons and have traveled to numerous Disney Marathons, Bluenose in Halifax (13 years) , Ottawa, Toronto, Celebration Florida, Niagara Falls to name a few…

- Monday - Virtual "Training Tip" and/or stretch session via ZOOM
- Tuesday - Hill Training (all levels) in 2 locations - CBS & Mount Pearl Paradise
- Wednesday 6:30pm - Paradise Location
- Saturday 8:30am - A variety of beautiful routes throughout St. John's, Mount Pearl, Paradise & CBS. A NEW route each week
